The Essentials

  • Job title: Sales Account Executive
  • Contract type: Full time
  • Location: Office-based, London (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
  • Salary: On target earnings £55,200 (£35,000 base, 8% commission on sales)

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Join the company leading the fast-growing product category of Experience Communication Management and become an expert in this area.
  • Work in a scaleup company at a mature but still early phase. You’ll experience the rewards and challenges of organisational growth.
  • Work with a wide range of education institutions, from schools to higher education service providers, helping them to improve their marketing and recruitment outcomes by more building safe, scalable and efficient ambassador schemes online.
  • Work closely with our Business Development Representatives who will be booking meetings for you with target clients.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success Team to ensure your customers are successful and identify further opportunities to add value through upsells.
  • Work closely with other Sales team members and co-founders to share knowledge and best practice.
  • Work with other areas of the business including Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Operations and Compliance to share feedback and gain understanding of a wide range of business skills.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years experience in sales related roles, preferably in the education sector but not required.
  • A quick learner who has a curious mind to figure things out and get s**t done.
  • A proven track record of outstanding sales results.

Your Impact

You will:

  • Own ‘new business’ revenue in a designated region working alongside two Business Development Reps and our Marketing team who will be generating leads and booking meetings for you. TAP is launching new partnerships and products as well as expanding into adjacent sectors to Higher Education so it’s an exciting time for growth. You’ll be a key part of this innovation, figuring out new approaches and helping the whole team scale.
  • Teach your colleagues in the Commercial Team how we can grow faster and be more successful from your previous experience and learnings gained on the job. The Business Development Representatives you’ll be working with are recent graduates and looking to grow in their careers as sales people. They will be looking to you for mentorship and guidance in their development.
  • Learn about TAP’s solution and our sales process so that you’re able to talk to senior decision makers about how Experience Communication Management can solve problems for their organisation and consistently close deals. You’ll work closely alongside the co-founders of the company, helping the company scale our growth.
  • Improve TAP’s sales process and key client engagements by bringing creativity to your work and figuring out new approaches to improve our results.

Your progress:

Within 1 month you will have completed our supportive and comprehensive onboarding process and be a fully integrated team member.

Within 3 months you will be a fully trained team member with knowledge of all of our systems, fully productive in terms of your activities and, most likely, will have closed your first few deals.

Within 6 months you will be confident in the role, consistently hitting targets and contributing to team knowledge and process improvements. Additionally, you’ll be supporting more junior team members with their development and getting involved in sector development projects.
